Que?

It's hard to see the moon here in the middle of Beaverton. Still, occasionally I do see it, and you know I watch for things like that. A couple of weeks ago I went to a dinner with some women from my church, and we were sitting in a backyard up on a tall hill in Beaverton. It started to get dark, and the almost-full moon began rising over the trees just as a hummingbird flew behind us and visited the feeder hanging from the tree next to the porch. It was beautiful.

That's one thing I miss about California: We had an unobstructed eastern horizon, so we got to see the full moon rise. Now we're in a metropolitan area and don't get to see it until it's almost overhead.

By the way, there's a lunar eclipse coming up on the 28th of this month, and we should be able to see it if we stay up all night.

Cheerio!
