Just fell into 'a day late...'

...and a dollar short, as they say. The 7th was the anniversary of my Mama's death back in 2000 and this meme states her attitude in a great way. She truly had it down, being grateful along the way. ;)

~EPHEMERA~

It occurs to me.... "Εφήμερα" can be defined as written or printed matter that is not intended to be preserved. The word is derived from the Greek and refers to that which lasts no more than a day. Well, I'm rather busy and rather interested in many, many things, so there's a good chance that something will occur to me, but my period of contemplation will last for only a day or so...thus, I've entitled this little blogspot "ephemera." 20 January 2013 I see that the last time I stopped by this little spot on the blog it was September 2011. A lot has happened since then. I'm sitting here at home while SGTex is half-way across Texas for the day. Our lives have changed to a great degree. I'm not working, and he's pursuing his nursing career again, renewing his RN license and proceeding with all that entails. Before long, he'll be gone much of the time at work and I'll either be here with the Havapups in our little house, or packing up to move off to places unknown...I'm not sure of all the details, but am sure that it will be an adventure. Whether I'm up for it is to be determined, lol. For awhile, our music on the blog was suspended for some reason unknown to us, but all of a sudden the other day it came back. Right on time, too. "Always and Forever" is special to us- our song, and it really was wonderful to have Heatwave serenading us, (just like SGTex did me while waiting for our wedding to begin) and I'm reminded of some powerfully sweet moments over the years. Right now the big deal around here is the Inauguration celebrations. I'll be glad to watch it again with my husband. Emotions will run strong and hopes will be high. We're making new plans again, just like that day across town soon after I'd come to make Texas my home. Make no mistake about it: These are good days in America. Cheers! Shawn
