The late Sarah, Ursus americanus, yearling daughter of Braveheart....

....was murdered by an unscrupulous coward.  Her bloodstained, colorfully ribboned collar was turned in anonymously to authorities. 
It clearly identifed her as a research bear.   That should never have happened.
