Awhile back I saw something that explained that it's important to be careful what you say to a child, for it is that what develops into the child's "self talk" later on in life. I thought how true that was in my case....Much of what I deal with today in my mind has to do with what I was told as a small child. (Darnit)
I got to thinking about it, and I have decided that if the above is true, then it must be true that what I say has an effect (for good or bad) on the world around me....What was told to me long ago affects what I tell myself now. What I tell myself now affects my behavior and attitude, which has an effect (for good or bad) on the person who lives with me....and that expands out to the people near us, and their effect influences that of the people who live with and near them, and so on...
See how it goes?
Someone here in the United States did something really stupid and offended people across the ocean and bad things happened. Someone again, did something really stupid on Youtube and offended some more people. Good people died because of what someone said, and what others thought about what someone said. It keeps going on and on, and needs to stop.
Kind of a meandering, or perhaps convoluted, way of getting my idea across. What I say influences you, and what you say influences me. But really, we all live in the same world together.
Let's just try to make nice and change our world, okay?
I'll go first.
